Scarred Society Chips lets holders of a physical Scarred Society chip read and contribute to that chip's journey. It is a community storytelling platform, not a marketplace or an asset registry.

Accounts are created with an email address and a one-time code. You are responsible for the security of the inbox used to sign in.

You keep ownership of the story you write. By submitting it, you grant Scarred Society a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it as part of that chip's journey to people entitled to read it, and to display anonymised excerpts for the purpose of explaining the platform.

No harassment, hate speech, threats, personal data about other people, doxxing, spam, advertising, illegal content, or content that identifies a person without their consent. No HTML, scripts or markup — stories are stored and displayed as plain text.

Stories can be reported by any reader. We may hide, anonymise or remove content, and suspend accounts, at our discretion.

Ownership of the physical object is separate from the digital journey. Possession of a chip does not grant ownership of its history, and contributing does not give you a claim over the object.

We cannot guarantee that a chip continues to move, that future holders add stories, or that a chip is not lost.

The service is provided on an “as available” basis and may change.

You must be at least 16 years old to contribute a story.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scarred Society is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform or from content submitted by others.

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that breach these terms.
